Gunnison Kennels in Grand Junction gave my 8mo Golden Retriever dog a fantastic place to stay and have fun while we had fun at Country Jam. James and his wife let him romp around their huge fenced yard, meet goats and chickens, play with their kids and make some new dog friends. It’s was great to know he could be part of their pack! It was in the 90s and they had a pool and sprinklers for him so he stayed cool. He really wasn’t too excited to leave when we picked him up lol. I would happily use them again for boarding or training next time we are in town. Thanks, James!

I have 3 dogs and it was obvious when we picked them up how much they were loved while we were gone. Each of them is so different and James was great about adapting their care to their personalities and quirks so they felt as at home as possible. Excellent and kind kennel service where your pets are treated like the family they are! James has been working with dogs all his life and truly loves them. His time in the military working with dogs gives him an excellent background in their care and training. I have a high energy 6 year old GSD who needed basic training as well as socialization with other dogs. James has been fantastic with both my dog and with showing me how to interact with my dog effectively.  For me, his training has been easy, logical and kind. James is a super dog sitter. He has extensive experience working with dogs and is a dog trainer. I had asked him to review some of my dog's behavior and give me feedback, which he did. I felt his observations and comments were helpful. He has a big house and extensive fenced property, I know my dog enjoyed playing with the other dogs and being able to run and play outside. He sent me pictures and videos of my dog, I liked seeing how much fun she was having. When I go out of town again, James will absolutely be my first choice.- Elaine B.

This was our first time boarding our 1 year old lab, and James was very sweet and kind with her. He understood our spirited terrier's quirks and sent lots of pictures. James clearly has a lot of experience training dogs and is committed to caring for your pups like they are his own. The property is also spacious and his dogs are well behaved. Our 11 year old labradoodle loved his stay! Charlie is used to sleeping on our daughters bed and they allowed Charlie to sleep on their sons bed! He was well taken care off and even more loved!
